Series Overview
Inspired by one of America's most uniquely powerful conservation visionaries, President Theodore Roosevelt, Leupold Big Game Profiles presented by the Boone and Crockett Club in association with Dallas Safari Club is an important new hunting program scheduled to air on The Outdoor Channel beginning July 2, 2006.
Leupold Big Game Profiles is a documentary series patterned after a National Geographic special where each episode will profile at least one of the 29 species of native North American big game recognized by the Boone and Crockett Club, the nation's original conservation and record-keeping organization.
The series is centered on beautifully filmed, lyrically composed, documentary-style stories about America's big-game species, including the return of the grizzly and the tragedy of the bison. But there's certainly much more to this rich blend of wildlife and conservation.
Craig Boddington, noted author and a professional member of the Boone and Crockett Club, hosts "Leupold Optics' Guns & Loads," a weekly series within the series that speaks to the rifles, cartridges, strategies and tactics best used in pursuit of the featured species. Further, the show's other weekly companion feature, "Winchester Ammunition Fair Chase Hunting," offers adrenaline-packed hunting experiences.
Aside from being purely fun to watch, the series is engineered to give you an in depth look at the big game animals we hunt from the unique perspective of species history, biology, and habits.
The real heroes of conservation have been, and always will be, fair chase sportsmen. As such, you deserve a program like this that celebrates our hunting heritage and the animals we care so deeply about.
Enjoy, Leupold Big Game Profiles – A new brand of outdoor television!
